Costumer: Planet Factory
The music I wrote for the special Halloween edition of the children app Code Land, by Planet Factory, was my very first experience in this popular Anglo-Saxon cultural tradition. The piece contains lots of the genre’s music classic elements, halfway between horror and the children’s world: walking brass band rhythm base, winding ghostly melodies, evil laughs, gloomy harmonies, etc.
Keeping the connection with the app’s robotic subject and characters was important, so in the chorus I used as soloist instruments the same vintage sinthesizers of the original version. The result is a Halloween atmosphere with the technological touch that characterises Code Land.
